INTAKE HORNS
Intake Horns are available on horizontal pumps only. The
horns direct the flow of water and allow the pumps to pump closer to the bottom
of the sump. PVC Intake Horns are lightweight and economical. The PVC
Intake Horn attaches to the pump shell with stainless steel bolts. No gaskets
are required.
Intake horns are available as a factory installed option
only.
PUMP RINGS
Pump rings are additional stainless steel rings that are
welded to the bottom flare of the 4" and 6" Stainless Steel Axial Flow
Submersible vertical pumps. These rings widen the area of the pump base and
increase the suction power of the pump. Pump rings are used to reduce the
minimum submergence requirements of the pump. This allows the pump to pump the
water down further than a pump without a pump ring.
These rings are not recommended for use with strainer
screens. Pump rings are a factory installed option only.
MOTOR LEADS
All Carry Stainless Steel Axial-Flow Submersible pumps come
with 30' of motor lead standard. Occasionally additional lengths are required
for the application. Please specify when ordering. Please note:
as the distance between the pump and the control panel increases the voltage
drop in the lead also increases. Please see the Franklin
Electric Motor Manual, pages 11 and 16 for more information on the maximum
length each cable size can be used for.
LIFT
CHAIN/WIRE ROPE ASSEMBLIES
A Lift Chain can be attached to the Stainless Steel
Axial-Flow Submersible pumps to ease installation and removal from the wet well
or sump. Lift Chain is available in either 304 stainless steel or hot dipped
galvanized steel chain, available in 3/16" links and sold by the
foot.
Wire
Rope assemblies can be used to ease installation and removal from the wet well
or sump. The assemblies are available in four standard lengths - 6', 10', 16' or
20'. Other lengths are available, please consult the factory for details. All
wire rope assemblies have 7 x 19 wire rope construction. Wire Rope Assemblies
are available in Galvanized Steel Bare Wire, Galvanized Steel Nylon Coated Wire,
304 Stainless Steel Bare Wire or 304 Stainless Steel Nylon Coated Wire.
Galvanized steel assemblies have zinc plated steel fittings; stainless steel
assemblies have stainless steel fittings.

The threaded chain
connectors are used to connect the lift chain or wire rope assemblies to the
lift lugs of the Stainless Steel Axial-Flow Submersible pumps. No tools are
needed to attach these re-usable threaded connectors. They have a wide jaw to
accommodate large fittings. They are available in either zinc plated steel or
316 stainless steel, standard or pear shaped.
